Molten Salts Transport
Our Ultra High Temperature PiP solutions offer efficient and reliable energy transportation for ultra hot working fluids and molten salts transport, including potential heating for shutdown mitigations.

About our solution
Super heated air, vapour or molten salts, are used as a working fluids for high temperature energy transport associated with renewable energy systems, particularly for solar power generation. However, high temperature fluids require precision and advanced engineering to mitigate challenges such as mechanical integrity, heat loss, flow assurance, and operational downtime during shutdowns.
- Shutdown Mitigation: Advanced insulation and heat-tracing systems (EHTF) mitigate the risks of cycle operations by maintaining high temperature.
- Thermal Management: High performance insulation ensures minimal heat-loss resulting in efficient operations.
- Efficiency: Reliable transport of ultra-high temperature fluids to and from solar generators for uninterrupted energy storage and use.
Applications in Ultra High Temperature transport
The transportation of molten salts is used for high temperature heat storage and transfer.
- Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) Plants: Molten salts are used to store thermal energy generated by solar concentrators. This stored heat can be transported and used later to generate electricity, even when the sun isn’t shining, providing reliable energy storage for solar power generation.
- Geothermal Energy: High temperature working fluids can be used in geothermal plants to store and transport thermal energy generated from deep underground reservoirs, improving energy production efficiency and enabling continuous power output.
- Nuclear Reactors: High temperature working fluids are considered as a coolant and heat transfer medium in next-generation nuclear fusion reactors, helping transport heat from the reactor core to turbines or heat exchangers for electricity generation.
