About our solution

Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) has emerged as a critical strategy for reducing carbon dioxide emissions and plays a key role in mitigating the environmental impact of industrial emissions by capturing carbon dioxide and safely storing it underground. Consequently, to meet the global climate goals, industries are increasingly looking to transport CO2 from emission sources to storage sites or utilization facilities, a process that requires specialized infrastructure to handle the unique challenges of CO2 in its liquid or gas phase.  Therefore, our solutions provide innovative technology that prioritize safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

Liquid CO2 is transported in pipelines at temperatures as low as -50°C in order to benefit from high density of liquid CO2. Alternatively, for higher temperature sequestration, gaseous CO2 needs to be keep warm to offset Joule-Thomson cooling.

  • Thermal Management: Independent of the choice of transport phase, thermal efficiency is important to optimize OPEX and ensure process and infra-structure integrity.
  • Flexibility : With CO2 to be harvested in industrial sites and stored in depleted reservoirs, pipeline system with high thermal efficiency and the ability to be buried or laid subsea can enable CO2 transport projects.
  • Safety: CO2 is a colourless, odourless gas that can be dangerous in high concentrations. Specific measures need to be in place to prevent leaks, accidents, and environmental impact during CO2 transport. Integrated leak detection of PiP allows for continuous integrity monitoring.
